IG55 Inert Gas Fire Suppressions Systems
Inert Gas Fire Suppression Systems
Cost-Effective Inert Gas Fire Suppression
Inert gas fire suppression systems are the safe, natural way to extinguish a fire.
IG55 fire suppression systems
IG-55 is a mixture of inert gases. It is made up of 50% Argon and with 50% Nitrogen. It is non-conducting, odourless, colourless, and flavourless. It is an integral part of one of the important inert gas fire suppression systems.
It is non-corrosive and can be used at normal temperatures with most materials. as nickel,
Discharge of the extinguishing agent is through special valves developed and approved by accredited, independent organizations. They provide for flexible installation for all triggering and release systems currently available in the market, allowing for combinations of several of them.
The system protects against accidental activation due to small leaks. They also provide for checking and maintenance of all critical elements in the fixed extinguishing system, at the time of commissioning and later for system maintenance. This helps avoid accidental discharge. Extinguishing concentration is usually achieved when oxygen concentration in the air is reduced from its normal level of 21% to lower than 15%, depending on the combustible materials.
IG-55 is stored in high-pressure cylinders in the form of compressed gas, thus space required for such cylinder storage depends on pressure and capacity.
